Director David Magyar spoke to Monocle Radio for ‘Monocle on Design’ on JRA’s recently completed retrofit of Bracken House, headquarters to the Financial Times.
David was interviewed by Christy Evans on making the building 21st century ready and discussed improvements to the building’s connections, performance, accessibility, and wellness offering. Calling the refurbishment ‘quiet architecture’ in reference to the balance between conservation and progress which was at the heart of JRA’s approach, David spoke of the collaboration with historic interest groups throughout the project which made this result possible.
David’s interview features alongside pieces with Daniel Ringelstein of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and Alexander Scharer of modular furniture company USM. The show was hosted by Josh Fehnert. Listen here.
