The last week has seen significant progress at 33 Central, the JRA designed, new build office development for HB Reavis. The cladding is going up fast, with construction in full swing at the 33 King William Street site finally revealing the building’s unique form. The cladding is a unitised system made from aluminium, terracotta and glass that transition in colour from white to deep red, picking up colours and patterns from the surrounding Arthur Street facades.
To make the completion of the primary structural elements for the building, a Topping Out ceremony was held recently too. The event was attended by key team members from across the project and as per tradition, a Yew tree has been planted on the roof which will remain until the building reaches practical completion.
The building has recently been bought by Wells Fargo and will become the US bank’s London headquarters.
