JRA Cyclist Completes PedElle 2019
JRA architect Becky Grigor has taken part in the Club Peloton pedElle cycle 2019. The ride was made up of 49 female cyclists from across the property and construction industry.
Starting in Sienna and covering 400km across three days, the cycle finished in Rome on 23rd June. The challenging ride took in the rolling hills of Tuscany in temperatures of up to 40 degrees and required a total climb of 5,200m.
The event provides an opportunity for networking amongst women in the industry and raises money for the children’s charity Coram. Becky raised a total of £1,481.25, beating her initial £1,000 target. All sponsored rider’s money will be pooled and go towards a final donation, which in 2018 totalled £70,000.
PedElle is just one of a number of cycles that JRA staff have taken part in, with the practice’s in house cycle club’s ongoing participation in industry rides, social events and training. Most recently, members of the club completed the CBRE cycle series and the 1,000 mile cycle to MIPIM.
