JRA has been shortlisted in three out of five categories in Building Magazine’s Top Consultants. The practice has been listed as number 36 (up from 46) in the Top 150 Architects, number 81 (up from 118) in the Top 150 Firms and number 36 in the Top 50 Project Managers.
The results are based on criteria including staff numbers, fees and areas of work and were entered by over 500 practices nationwide. The survey findings indicated that those in the industry are feeling optimistic about the UK’s economic outlook and that many are expecting trading conditions to improve over the next year. According to Building Magazine, this has wider implications for dynamics within the industry, consultants are returning to a position where they are able to be selective about the jobs they take on and who they collaborate with, following the economic downturn.
Although largely positive, the results also provide an insight into the areas where top consultants are having difficulty, including attracting and retaining the best staff and a lack of development sites. Despite this, the opportunities and outlook are positive and the future for the top 150 looks bright.
