JRA Director Festus Moffat panel talk at London Build Expo 2024 on The Building Safety Act

JRA Director Festus Moffat spoke recently on one of our industry’s most pressing topics at the London Build Expo 2024 panel on The Building Safety Act and Building Control: Redefining Safety Standards for the UK.’
Considering the recent regulations and the impact of Grenfell, Festus emphasized the new duties of Principal Designers, the unique position of architects to fulfil this role, and the support that would be required to manage these responsibilities. Festus spoke alongside other industry experts,Thomas Barney, Howden, Andrew Foolkes, Tenos, Darren Ettles, Association of Building Control Approvers (ABCA), and Gordon Roy, City of London Corporation.

Festus is a leading voice in Building Safety for architects and sits on NLA’s Expert Panel for Technical Competency, which is dedicated to fire safety and material performance, building regulations and procurement, modern methods of construction, digital collaboration, and training and education.
